Do Fox want Bryan Singer to direct Fantastic Four 2 and then a Fantastic Four/X-Men crossover movie?

Ok, so if THIS is true, we reckon it sort of completely scraps the X-Men/Avengers crossover story from yesterday (here). Probably. Maybe. Heck, it’s all speculation at this point, right?

Word on the nerd grapevine is that Fox are looking for X-Men maestro Bryan Singer to handle Fantastic Four 2 (let’s be honest, they don’t want Josh Trank back) with a view to him then helming an X-Men/Fantastic Four crossover. Essentially, he’d be looking after the Marvel/Fox movie-verse… and we think that sounds like a great idea: “Fox hopes both he and producer Simon Kinberg can do for them something similar to what Kevin Feige has been able to achieve for Marvel.”

The rumour is also that Fox aren’t too delighted with Fantastic Four but reckon it will serve as a “decent introduction to the new direction its characters will be taking and are looking for a distinct vision to take things to the next level.”

So, what say you all? Would Bryan Singer be the man to look after the Fox/Marvel movie universe? Let us know your thoughts…
