Doomsday set for Batman V Superman?

July 10th, 2014 by Marc Comments

Could the guy who killed Superman in the comics be set for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice?

Well, in fairness, it’s been rumoured for a while, but now Bleeding Cool are reporting it’s a bit more than just a rumour.

According to them, a reliable source, has informed them they have “seen Batman V Superman designs for the character of Doomsday.”

Now, they do point out that, even if it’s true, it’s not a guarantee that he’ll be in the movie – although we at FTN can’t help but feel he will be the DC equivalent of an after credit scene, setting up The Justice League movie – or he may end up in the toy line or video game even if he’s not in the movie.

Whatever happens, we know – if this is true – that he’s in the film-makers’ minds.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice”is written by Chris Terrio, from a screenplay by David S. Goyer. Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder are producing, with Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Wesley Coller, David S. Goyer and Geoff Johns serving as executive producers.

Principal photography will take place on location at Michigan Motion Picture Studios and on location in and around Detroit, Michigan; Illinois; Africa; and the South Pacific.

Set to open worldwide on May 6, 2016

Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
