Drew Goddard’s Sinister Six was a movie that a lot of people had assumed was cancelled. With the massive shake-up to the Spider-Man franchise over the last year, many thought that any plans Sony had for the franchise had been thrown out, in favour of the new reboot.
However, over the past few days, Goddard has inferred that the movie may still happen. Not only this, but Goddard was very excited about the characters he would get to play with.
In a recent interview, Goddard stated: “I can’t answer that ’cause that would be my movie. Luckily, they let me make my dream roster”.
While Goddard does not refer to any villains by name in the interview, we can probably assume that the roster would include, Green Goblin, Rhino, Doctor Octopus and Vulture, based on what we saw in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
To be honest though, despite how enthusiastic Goddard is, I doubt we will see this film, at least not in this form. With the enormous change in direction of the Spider-Man franchise, it seems unlikely that this film even could see the light of day anytime soon.
But it could be a very cool entry in the MCU…
