Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson just said we’ll be seeing Black Adam sooner than we expected…

At Christmas we all got a little excited because it seemed that Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Henry Cavill might have been teasing a future face-off between their DC Cinematic aliases, Black Adam and Superman.

And now, it seems, there is a real chance it’s coming…

Speaking to Fandango, Johnson has teased that, while the Black Adam movie (two movies?) is definitely happening but we may, in typical comic book movie style, see Black Adam before his own movie: “It’s definitely going to happen, sure,” Johnson said.

“We’ve had great conversations with Geoff Johns and everyone over at DC. It’s an exciting time right now for everyone at DC because they are in a process now where they are building out [their DC universe] really nicely. We have a really cool surprise for Black Adam that I can’t reveal, in terms of where we will see Black Adam being introduced.

But of course, the one big showdown many fans are waiting for is Black Adam V Superman… will we see that?

“One fine day… that’s coming,” Johnson said, “That’s in the cards.”

Well, that basically means we could hope to see Black Adam at anytime… Wonder Woman? Justice League? Aquaman? Ugh… what a tease!

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
