To the surprise of no-one it looks like Vin Diesel and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson have sorted out their recent feud and will be coming together again for Fast & Furious 9.
In a couple of weeks that has seen all sorts of speculation about why the duo have been at each other’s throats over the movie (here), it seems that they have managed to sort it all out… we suspect the movie opening to international numbers that out sold Star Wars: The Force Awakens helped them make up their minds.
Apparently the dispute was over movie ‘real estate’ which means that it came down to how much screen time each were getting and who had the best fights, most time naked on screen… stuff like that: “It became a big issue for Dwayne and Vin, but ultimately, Dwayne acknowledged it was Vin’s movie – he’s listed #1 on the call sheet.”
So it was all over, what, vanity? We almost wished it was over something more… substantial.
That said, we’d be liars if we said we weren’t glad to have Dom and Hobbs back for the next installment which is currently set for 2019.
