FIRST LOOK at Army of Thieves, the prequel movie to Army of the Dead

July 7th, 2021 by Marc Comments

Just a day after announcing he’s bringing hos sci-fi epic Rebel Moon to Netflix, Zack Snyder (and Netflix) have revealed the first look at their Army of the Dead prequel, Army of Thieves.

The movie will take place (obviously) before Army of the Dead and will likely not feature any zombies as during the movie, the outbreak is just beginning and this prequel will lend itself more towards comedy than Snyder’s zombie flick did.

The images, above and below, show Army of the Dead star Matthias Schweighöfer who is returning as German safecracker Ludwig Dieter along with new additions to the series including Game of Thrones’ Nathalie Emmanue along with Ruby O Fee, Guz Khan and Jonathan Cohen.

The movie will also be directed by Schweighöfer while Zack and Deborah Snyder will be producing.

Zack Snyder would like to formally introduce the Army of Thieves.

The movie, set prior to the events of “Army of the Dead,” takes place during the early stages of a zombie outbreak and centers on Dieter, in his early days of safecracking, as he is hired by a mysterious woman to pull off a heist with the help of a misfit crew of aspiring thieves.

As well as this prequel, an Army of the Dead animated series, Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas, so we’d imagine that all the mysteries of Army of the Dead will begin to be unravelled, including time travel, alternate realities, UFOs and robot zombies.

Honestly, I’m here for Emmanuel starring in anything… thoughts?

Army of Thieves will arrive ‘soon’ on Netlfix.
