FIRST LOOK: Full suit reveal for David Corenswet as Superman

May 6th, 2024 by Marc Comments

We finally have the official full reveal of David Corenswet’s full Superman suit and it looks great!

James Gunn will be writing and directing Superman: Legacy which is due for release in 2025 and Corenset will be facing off against About a Boy and X-Men star Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor while Rachel Brosnahan will star as Lois Lane.

As with the Batman suit, the revealing of a new version, above, is always a big deal and something fans get excited about and this one is no different.

After Gunn, who is also overseeing the whole DCU along with Peter Safran, revealed the new suit logo, left, it was pretty clear that a full reveal was coming soon and here we are.

The image puts a very human side to Superman and the way he’s suiting up as something is happening in the background… Brainiac, perhaps? Is this image hinting at what we might see in the movie?

And in case you’re wondering if Corenswet is putting in the gym time under the suit, it’s pretty obvious he’s put the muscle on:

Gunn’s DCU will kick off in full with the new Superman but the Man of Steel will be coming into a world already fully populated with heroes, villains, aliens and everything in between with the likes of Milly Alcock already cast as Supergirl, joining others such as Nathan Fillion’s Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, Xolo Maridueña’s Jaime Reyes/Blue Beetle and Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl to name but a few.

The DCU kicks off with Creature Commandos animated series later this year, with Superman being the first bigscreen entry in July 2025.

Are you excited for the new DCU? Let me know…
