FIRST LOOK: Here’s Brie Larson in full Captain Marvel outfit from the Atlanta set…

January 25th, 2018 by Marc Comments

A new set of images leaked from the Atlanta set of Captain Marvel featuring Brie Larson have the internet in uproar…

Why? Well, the images seem to show Larson in the full Captain Marvel outfit, although – the images are at the bottom of the page – the colours are all wrong as the Captain should be rocking a blue, red and yellow outfit as seen about.

Or should she?

Mar-Vell, the first Captain Marvel, was a Kree soldier whose costume was green in the comics. It was only after arriving on Earth to study humans for the Kree empire did Mar-Vell change his costume, after obtaining Nega-Bands that give him real superpowers. Then, and only then did the suit change to the more familiar colours:

Which got us thinking… could this be a scene for Avengers: Infinity War? We know time travel is going to be a part of that movie (well, probably) so maybe we’re joing to meet her before she becomes the Cap we know so well. Or maybe it’s an after or mid-credit scene?

Either way, we’re going to see the Captain evolve in the MCU.Let us know what you think of the images and what they mean for the story of the character in the MCU.

It was then that Mar-Vell got a new red and black costume that laid the groundwork for Carol Danvers’s suit.

As for the movie itself, it will be set in the 1990s and will also see the return of Nick Fury as a pre-eyepatch, CGI de-aged Samuel L Jackson and will  see Captain Marvel fighting the Skree and it could potentially be a game changer as the story will revolve around an alien invasion that will see the Skree replacing people we thought we knew… meaning that, down the line, ANYONE could be a Skrull.

Remember Fury’s line to Steve Rogers in Captain America: The Winter Soldier: “Last time I trusted someone, I lost an eye.”? Well, we’re betting we’ll see just what he meant by that.

Captain Marvel is currently set for release in March 2019

Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife.
