Fox changes release dates of Deadpool 2, The New Mutants and Gambit

January 11th, 2018 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

20th Century Fox, just after we learned that the Gambit movie has lost its third director (here), has had a bit of a shake up with the release dates of its upcoming X-Men movies.

While it’s unclear what is happening at the studio right now, we do know that fans of Deadpool have worked out ok with Deadpool 2 coming forward from June 1st to May 18th, putting it just one week before the Han Solo movie.

Josh Boone’s horror/mutant crossover The New Mutants, starring Anya Taylor-Joy, Maisie Williams and Charlie Heaton, has had a significant jump, moving back 10 months from April 13th, 2017  to February 22nd, 2019. Damn! We were stoked for that this year, too!

And finally, Gambit, which is currently a ship without a captain (see above), has jumped, understandably, from February 14th, 2019 to June 7th, 2019.

We get the feeling there’s some turbulence at Fox right now so fully expect more changes, news, madness over the next few weeks.
