Aaaaaand the Gambit movie has lost its third director weeks before beginning production!

Oh for the love of…

It was only a couple of days ago that we reported on all the movies 20th Century Fox were still making before Disney took over business (here) and now it looks like one of the movies is in trouble. AGAIN.

Yes, it seems that the Gambit movie, set to begin production in March, has lost director Gore Verbinski,  the third director after the movie lost both Doug Liman and Rupert Wyatt to scheduling issues in the past.

There’s no word on how or why the Pirates of the Caribbean director left but it puts a serious question mark over the movie, we’d imagine.

Seriously, is this movie ever going to actually happen? We have serious doubts at this stage to be honest.

The movie still has a script by Josh Zetumer and Channing Tatum and Lizzy Caplan starring, but at this stage it’s doubtful that’s going to be enough
