Frank Grillo is at it again, teasing that his character, Brock Rumlow, AKA Crossbones, may be back in the MCU despite meeting a flaming death in Civil War (here).
Currently talking about the beginning of production about the beginning of filming on the new Purge movie (here) and dropped a pretty big tease about his possible return to the MCU.
One of the most annoying things in Captain America: Civil War was how quickly Crossbones was killed, dying in the opening action scene.
But it seems that, as hinted before, Crossbones could be back: “It’s great to be part of Marvel too, and I have three boys who are fanatical about Marvel,” Grillo said, “and I was surprised not too long ago because there is some news that nobody knows yet, to do with my character, that’s going to be really interesting and I’m excited about that.”
Now, we’ve been thinking about this and reckon there’s a couple of possible ways Brock will return – firstly, he could simply have survived. It’s unlikely but it’s comic books so all bets are technically off.
But, more likely, we reckon he could appear pre-Crossbones in the Captain Marvel movie which we already know will be set in the 1990s (here), so perhaps more of the technology used in Ant-man and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 to de-age actors could be employed here?
Anyway, what do you all think? Let us know…
