Em, what?

Don’t get us wrong, we think Tom Holland is a great actor but Nathan Drake?!

Ok, so here’s the deal, Deadline have reported that Holland has been cast in the lead role of the Uncharted movie, based on the popular video games from the folks at Naughty Dog video game for PlayStation.

The movie will be a prequel to the games, hence the younger casting for Drake and it looks like they want to go down the Tomb Raider road for this one with a new, younger take on the lead character, focusing on how they became the heroes they are.

Shawn Levy is directing a film that will take its inspiration from a sequence in the third iteration of the video game that focused on the young thief Drake, and his first encounter with the professional rogue, Sullivan.

Word is that Sony Pictures boss Tom Rothman made the decision having seen Spider-man: Homecoming staring Holland as Peter Parker/Spidey.

Sony Pictures are now looking for a new writer for the movie which they have tried to get made for several years, under various scribes.

What do you think of the casting? Let us know.
