GI Joe: Snake-Eyes movie sequel/follow-up in the works already

May 3rd, 2020 by Marc Comments

Despite the GI Joe Snake-Eyes movie not being released yet, it seems that Paramount and Hasbro are already moving ahead with a sequel/follow-up.

Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins is set  for release in October but negotiations are underway with Seberg writers Joe Shrapnel and Anna Waterhouse to pen the next movie.

“While details of the take are being kept on Cobra Island, the idea for the project is to build on Snake Eyes, making it not quite a sequel but rather an expansion to take audience goers deeper into the world of Joe.”

Snake Eyes stars Crazy Rich Asians’ Henry Golding as GI Joe’s mysterious Snake-Eyes and is directed by Robert Schwentke.

With the report earlier that a new live-action Transformers movie is coming in 2022, I’m wondering if we could see this as being the beginning of the Hasbro movies shared universe? Seriously, I have a whole plot in my mind where GI Joe and Transformers leads to the creation of M.A.S.K which is being written at the minute by Bad Boys For Life’s Chis Bremner and is to be directed by Fate of the Furious’ F Gary Gray.

Let me know you thoughts, gang.
