Last we heard about a Thundercats movie was in September 2018 (here) when we heard a He-Man and Thundercats shared movieverse was in development.
We’re not entirely sure of that’s still the case but what we do know is that Godzilla vs Kong’s Adam Wingard will be directing it.
Thundercats is a series based around a group of cat-like humanoids caught on a planet called Thundera and ruled by an evil monster called Mumm-Ra and is one of the great iconic franchises from the 1980s that has lived well into the modern world.
Wingard’s movie will take the original comic series which ran from 1985-1989 and develop a story that he’s had in mind for a long time that takes place after the events in that series.
Little else is known about the series for now but altogether now… Thundercats, Hooooooooooooo!!!
