Video game movies has a tenuous existence to be honest. Some work, some don’t, it’s a way of life. Yet despite certain failures, it doesn’t stop people from trying to turn popular franchises into movies.

One such title is the Gran Turismo series, a very popular racing game that’s multiple titles released since its arrival in 1997. A movie based on it has been in development for a while, but has had little progressions, until now.

A director has been possibly found in the form of Joseph Kosinski, who directed Tron Legacy and Oblivion. His involvement will include a re-write of the current script, with him supervising it.

Josh Bratman, Dana Brunetti, Elizabeth Cantillon, Mike De Luca and DeVon Franklin are attached to produce with DeLuca also overseeing for Sony alongside Matt Millam.

Todd Black is reader of comics, a watch of TV (a LOT of TV), and a writer of many different mediums. He's written teleplays, fan-fictions, and currently writes a comic book called Guardians (guardians-comic.com). He dreams of working at Nintendo, writing a SHAZAM! TV series, and working on Guardians for a very long time!
