Two pieces of Guardians of the Galaxy news in one day? Why not! This one will probably be the one you’re more interested in though!
It’s been rumored since the HUGE financial success of Guardians of the Galaxy that the team would meet up with the OTHER super Marvel team The Avengers somewhere down the line. The question soon became…would it be in Avengers 3?
Well, according to PWMania, Dave Bautista (who you know as Drax the Destroyer) is currently getting his contract restructured due to the success of GOTG. Why? So he’ll be able to appear in more movies…including a “significant” role in Avengers 3…or so the site reports.
Are you minds blown yet? I’ll wait for you to re-assemble them.
Back? Good. This is not confirmed that the GOTG will meet the Avengers, but it’s a suggestion that it just might happen. With the threads of the universe slowly becoming visible (i.e. the infinity stones, Thanos making his first true appearance, etc.) it’s not too far of a stretch to believe that Star-Lord and crew will make their way to Earth to fight Thanos and meet up with the Avengers along the way.
Again, this is not confirmed, but it’s a sign. A sign of what? “Something good, something bad, a little of both.”
Until then though, be ready for Guardians of the Galaxy 2 when it arrives in theaters July 27, 2017.
