Hot Tub Time Machine sets for a sequel?

January 17th, 2013 by Marc Comments

How many of you saw Hot Tub Time Machine? Show of hands and be honsest, who liked it? Yeah, we enjoyed it too.

It’s a bizarre, racy, offensive and totally off-the-wall comedy/sci-fi and, to be fair, we kinda live for those.

Well, according to aintitcool, a sequel to the 2010 original is on the way, albeit with very little details released.

“MGM is in early talks to draw up plans for a sequel to its 2010 comedy Hot Tub Time Machine. The company is in what insiders characterize as “exploratory talks” with Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson and Clark Duke to reprise their roles for the follow-up.

Sounds like Corddry may work alongside returning director Steve Pink, and [John] Cusack is apparently not involved “at this point.” Seems unlikely that a sequel would be mounted without any Cusack presence whatsoever. We’ll see…”

John Cusack’s absence would, we reckon, send this straight to ‘straight-to-DVD’ hell, but as it is, we’ll watch with curiousity..

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
