We’ve heard all types of Star Wars rumors. The biggest perhaps that the original trio is set to return. Carrie Fisher has spoken on a couple of occasions regarding her possible reprisal of Princess Leia in J.J. Abrams’ upcoming Star Wars Episode: VII film and the sequels, but she’s always been a bit sly about it. Never really telling much. Just like everyone else when you think about it.
Well in an interview with Palm Beach Illustrated the actress finally just comes out with it
Palm Beach Illustrated: Disney is going to continue the Star Wars saga, producing movies set to hit theaters starting in 2015. Can you confirm whether you’ll reprise the role of Princess Leia?
Carrie Fisher: Yes.
One word answer huh? Simple but effective. She says yes to reprising the role, not a “I’m in talks” or a “I’m thinking about it.” – Fisher flat out states she’ll be back to play Leia again. Unfortunately she doesn’t say much else!
