Is THIS who Jena Malone is playing in Batman V Superman?

So, for ages and ages we’ve been hearing that Jena Malone was in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. And everyone seemed convinced she was going to play Carrie  Kelley, the female Robin from Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns that a lot of BvS seems based on.

And hey, that made a lot of sense…

But now Screenrant are claiming they know who she’s playing… and it’s not Robin.

They are claiming she is none other than Barbara Gordon, daughter of Commissioner Gordon and eventual Batgirl and Oracle in the comics.

So, if she is Gordon, what’s her role? Will she be taking over from her father is, as we’ve heard several times, he really is dead? Will he have the bat suit too? Will Joker cripple her and turn her into Oracle at some point?

No idea… but it’s fun to speculate, right?

And here’s further speculation…

We’ve known for some time now that KGBeast was in Batman V Superman, though we didn’t know who was playing him. But now we do.

Now Heroic Hollywood are reporting that Captain America: Civil War actor Callan Mulvey will be Lex Luthor’s Russian right hand man, Anatoli Knyazev aka the KGBeast. They report that he won’t be the Beast from the comics exactly but rather Luthor’s muscle who tracks metahumans for him.

Will he become closer to his comic counterpart in future movies? Well, we wouldn’t rule it out. (More after the picture)

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
