Remember just a few days after Batman V Superman hit cinemas DC/Warners released a deleted scene from the movie featuring New God Steppenwolf?

No? Ok, watch it here, then read on:

Anyway, the scene was pretty cool and many proclaimed it should have been kept in the movie because it explained a few of the ployholes in the movie – how was Luthor caught, how did he know about Darkseid are just two of them.

Anyway, if new rumours are true, then there’s another reason it should have been kept in… because he’s going to be a big deal in Justice League.

According to BirthMoviesDeath, it was indeed Steppenwolf and he’ll be one of the lead villains in Justice League.

SPOILERS BEYOND THIS POINT

The site reports: “Steppenwolf will have “a contentious history with Darkseid” which will lead to the battle that the Justice League can’t quite win on their own, forcing them to “turn to a dead friend for help.”

In the comics Steppenwolf has been the leader of Darkseid’s army of Apokolips and is one of the New Gods. So we could see him arriving in Justice League Part 1 and paving the way for Darkseid’s arrival in the second movie.

Just a thought.

But we reckon there’s something to this.

Do you?

Justice League Part 1 will star Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot as Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman along with Jason Mamoa as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Amber Heard as Queen Mera along with Willem Dafoe in a mystery role, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon.

It will arrive on November 10th, 2017.
