It looks like we know the name of Emilia Clarke’s character in the Han Solo movie

August 25th, 2017 by Marc Comments

We learned a few days ago that Michael K Williams’ character would not be appearing in the Han Solo standalone movie (here) due to reshoots which he sadly could not attend and now the actor seems to have given away a big piece of news about the movie and a major character in it.

While talking about the movie, Williams said he was a link between Solo and Game Of Thrones star Emilia Clarke’s character, saying he is “a link between Han Solo and Emilia’s character, Kira.”

“He wore this beautiful white kimono, was very regal. He had class, money strength, charisma . . . and he knew how to fight. He was a warrior. He had a lot of prestige. If he lived in our world he would probably hang out with Jay Z and Beyoncé.”

So Clarke’s character is called Kira? Well, according to StarWars.net it’s actually Kura.

But never the less, it’s interesting.

As for the character Williams played, while gone, it looks like he may not be gone forever: “I feel very confident that I’ll be back in the galaxy, just not in the Han Solo project,” Williams said.

Does he know something we all don’t… well, probably.

What do you all think?

The untitled young Han Solo film hits theaters on May 25th, 2018 and stars Alden Ehrenreich (Hail Caesar!) as Han Solo, Donald Glover (Atlanta) as Lando Calrissian, Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Woody Harrelson (True Detective) as Beckett, Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag), Thandie Newton (Westworld), and Joonas Suotamo (The Force Awakens) as Chewbacca.  The film is directed by Ron Howard (A Beautiful Mind), with a script by Lawrence Kasdan (The Empire Strikes Back) and his son Jon Kasdan (The First Time).
