What’s the only thing better than one James Franco? yes, multiple James Francos.

Your reaction that intro will gauge how you’re going to enjoy this news…

Franco is looking set to join the X-Men Universe for 20th Century Fox in a standalone movie… as the Multiple Man.

Who?

Jamie Madrox, also known as Multiple Man, has the mutant power to create and control duplicates of himself. The character first appeared in 1975’s Giant-Size Fantastic Four No. 4 and was created by the late Len Wein, the comic book mind behind classic characters such as Wolverine.

All clear? The movie is currently being penned by Allan Heinberg, one of the names who wrote Wonder Woman and will be produced by Simon Kinberg.

Fox is really pushing ahead with the X-franchise with three films planned next year, with New Mutants (April 13), Deadpool 2 (June 1) and the Kinberg-directed X-Men: Dark Phoenix (Nov. 2) also set to be released On top of this, A Gambit movie starring Channing Tatum has Gore Verbinski cutely set to direct, while Logan director James Mangold is working on a Weapon X movie too.

Multiple Man has appeared in the X-Men movies before, if you skip to 1min 13seconds you’ll see him in X-Men: The Last Stand, played by Eric Dane.
