Oh, yes! More great news for those of us pacing the floor in anticipation of the upcoming Zack Snyder’s Justice League.

Jared Leto is returning to the DCEU as Joker, reprising his role from 2016’s Suicide Squad.

The star, who became a very divisive figure in the DC community with fans either loving or hating his performance but, love him or hate, him, he’s back for Justice League and we may finally get to see him opposite Ben Affleck’s Batman.

The star has joined the additional photography for the new scenes being filmed for the new version of Snyder’s movie – which will be released by HBO Max as a four-part television event – which was previously released having been finished by Joss Whedon to less than thunderous applause.

The movie will be now officially entitled Zack Snyder’s Justice League and it seems that Ben Affleck, Ray Fisher and Amber Heard are all filming with Leto at the moment.

It also seems that Jon Berg and Geoff Johns, who were studio executives on the first movie, will be removed from the credits of the upcoming release, reportedly because they had nothing to do with this version of the movie, having been players in the release of Whedon’s version.

Joker was not featured in the original movie and his addition has a lot of excitement among fans with some, like ourselves, wondering if we may see flashbacks to the murder of Robin as was hinted at in Batman V Superman and Suicide Squad.

This also lends some weight to the rumours that David Ayer may be finally bringing his true vision for Suicide Squad to HBO Max too as Leto’s Joker was previously severely trimmed from the studio re-edited movie.

Will we see Margot Robbie appear as Harley Quinn? Whatever happens, this is exciting news for the Snyder fans…

What say you all?
