So the star and director for the upcoming Wonder Woman solo film is set (in the forms of Gal Gadot and Michelle MacLaren), all that’s needed now is a scribe. According to sources, the frontrunner for this position is Jason Fuchs.

Fuchs is known best for his work on Ice Age: Continental Drift and for the upcoming movie Pan (and a possible sequel already in the works), but if done right this could go straight to the top of the resume.

Wonder Woman is already set to appear in Batman v Superman in some capacity, and her solo movie is coming before the Justice League film, so there’s going to be a lot of emphasis and importance put on the movie. In fact, Wonder Woman will be the first female-led superhero movie in the modern era (that people will actually admit exists).

Not much is known about the possible plot for the film, or where DC is wanting to take the character. Rumors about it be a period peace set long before the other films (in the vein of Captain America: The First Avenger) have sprouted up, but have not been confirmed at this time.

Todd Black is reader of comics, a watch of TV (a LOT of TV), and a writer of many different mediums. He's written teleplays, fan-fictions, and currently writes a comic book called Guardians (guardians-comic.com). He dreams of working at Nintendo, writing a SHAZAM! TV series, and working on Guardians for a very long time!
