Jeff Goldblum has ah, um, has ah joined Jurassic World sequel as um, as ah, as Dr Ian Malcolm

April 26th, 2017 by Marc Comments

While we still know a few fans who have debated wether or not Jurassic World was in the same ‘universe’ as the first three Jurassic Park movies, we reckon the debate is once and for all definitely as extinct as the dinosaurs themselves now.

Yes, Ian Malcolm, played by FTN favourite Jeff Goldblum in 1993’s Jurassic Park and 1997’s The Lost World: Jurassic Park, will appear in the monster sequel Jurassic World II directed by J.A. Bayon.

He will join returning stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard and newcomers Justice Smith, James Cromwell and Toby Jones.

“Goldblum will reprise his role as Dr. Ian Malcolm, the know-it-all mathematician who came to the park as an insurance consultant — and somehow survived both the original film and the sequel.”

Goldblum also returned to one of his other most famous movies, Independence Day, recently with Independence Day: Resurgence which it seems we are the only people on the planet who liked it, so hopefully this return will be a bit more successful than that.

The dinosaurs will walk the earth again on June 22nd, 2018

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
