Jeremy Renner talks Cap, Avengers and confirms he’s signed for a (potential) Hawkeye movie

September 30th, 2014 by Marc Comments

Jeremy Renner is doing some amount of talking about Hawkeye, isn’t he?

Talking with The Daily Beast, he addressed the news that he would be in Captain America 3: “Oh, that’s a rumor all right. I don’t know what’s going to happen. I know it’s going to start shooting in March. I haven’t had any official conversations about doing it or not.”

On the status of Avengers: Age of Ultron, he said: “We have to do some pick-up shots here and there, but for the most part [we’re done]. Hulk has a more prominent role, and I have a more prominent role. There are a lot more scenes of the entire Avengers gang together – both in and out of the cape, so to speak. It’s making me become a total fanboy. It’s pretty fun to be a part of.”

And regarding his, and others’ futures in the Marvel movies, he said: “I think most actors will sign on to do, like… Captain America 1-3 and then The Avengers 1-3, and then you’re done. For me, I signed on to The Avengers 1-3 and then Hawkeye, in case they want to do a Hawkeye spin-off.”

Hmmmmmm… so he HAS signed for a Hawkeye movie, huh? Interesting indeed…

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
