Throughout the years of Superman (and now Supergirl) incarnations it’s been somewhat of a cliché that many previous actors have been invited back in future films or tv shows as cameo appearances.

During a Q&A at a special screening of Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut, panellists  Sarah Douglas, who played Ursa in the 1978 and 1980 Superman films,  and Marc McClure, who played Jimmy Olsen in those films too, have both previously been called back to cameo in later works but will either of them be back for any of the new DC films or TV shows?

McClure stated that he is involved in the upcoming NBC series Powerless (more info here) and is likely to have a recurring role in the series. He also stated that he would be appearing in a DC film to be released in 2017.

Since Justice League is set for release in November 2017 is is safe to assume we’ll see him in a small role in this film?
