With Star Wars Episode VII officially underway (yes, I still get goosebumps writing that) it seems that director JJ Abrams just wants to let everyone know how happy he is to be at the helm…
Perhaps it’s arguably one of cinema’s biggest undertakings or maybe he’s just a little gushy, but either way, it’s a nice gesture and fills us with confidence that he knows we – the fans – are waiting patiently to see what he comes up with.
Abrams wrote the note (below) on Friday when filming kicked off and it reads:
Dearest Cast and Crew, What an honor it is to work beside all of you, on Star Wars Ep VII. I can’t thank you enough, for all work past and future. Let’s take good care of not just ourselves, but of each other. Amazing, but true: the world awaits this film. Let’s give ‘em something GREAT. xo JJ
We’re right there with you, JJ… make us proud
Star Wars: Episode VII will be directed by J.J. Abrams from a script that he wrote with Lawrence Kasdan. Set to star to original cast members Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker in addition to new cast members John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow.
Return to a galaxy far, far away on December 18th, 2015.
