The trailer for Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens captured the attention of people around the world.

Director Abrams was present at the recent Irish-American Oscar Wilde Awards and let slip that there is still much more material for further previews. He is just waiting on effects work to be completed and, infuriatingly, for the ‘right moment’ to release it.

Abrams said: “There’s sort of an abundance of riches with the stuff we could put out so we’re just trying to make sure it’s as good as it could be before we put anything out. The disaster would be to race something out for the sake of making an impact and it being not as good as people deserve.”

The next preview is expected to be revealed at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim in April. Over the summer it is likely more clips will be released at conventions such as D23 Expo and ComiCon in San Diego. I think I speak for everyone when I say, “more Millennium Falcon!”

The death ray is currently in the works and one day you shall all bow to him, his giant space station and fleet of funky orange space shuttles...
