Well, with Jurassic World just becoming the third biggest movie EVER, or since the dinosaurs, with $1.52 billion, it was never in any doubt that a sequel to it would be released.
And now it’s confirmed. And has a release date too.
Variety have broke the news that Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will both return for Jurassic World 2, which Steven Spielberg will executive produce through his Amblin Entertainment banner.
It will be co-written by Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly.
And, most importantly, it will be released on June 22, 2018
On Wednesday, “Jurassic World” became the no. 3 top-grossing film of all-time, surpassing “The Avengers ” with a monster $1.52 billion in ticket sales.
It has one remaining territory left to open — Japan, where it debuts on August 5.
