So first came Loki and the Chutauri, then came Ultron, and now we have Thanos on deck for back to back Avengers movies. The question of who they will face next is already riddling through the minds of many a Marvel fan. Today, we have confirmation on one Marvel villain who will NOT be in the MCU. Or at least any time soon.
James Gunn, the director of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, took to his Facebook page to answer some questions. One of which was whether Kang or the Shi’ar Empire would show up in GOTG 2, or future sequels. Here’s Gunn’s response.
So there you go, both Kang and the Shi’ar are owned by Fox. Though as we’ve seen before, they could be bought out in the right situation. We’ll have to see who gets to use them first.
