Interesting… Legendary Pictures has just announced the release dates for upcoming films Warcraft and Pacific Rim 2.

Warcraft, naturally taking its inspiration from World of Warcraft, is described as “a 3D epic adventure of world-colliding conflict based upon Blizzard Entertainment’s globally-renowned universe.” Directed by Duncan “Zowie Bowie” Jones (sorry, Dunc) of Moon and Source Code fame and written by Jones and Charles Leavitt, the film is due out on 10 June 2016.

Of slightly more exciting news (to this writer, at least) is that the follow-up to Guilliero del Toro’s 2013 robots-punching-Godzilla-in-the-face action epic Pacific Rim has a release date. Specifically, 4 August 2017. Both films have been put back slightly from their provisional release dates, into the traditional summer blockbuster teritory.

The death ray is currently in the works and one day you shall all bow to him, his giant space station and fleet of funky orange space shuttles...
