LexCorp company from Batman V Superman will be like Google?

June 6th, 2014 by Marc 1 Comment

It looks like LexCorp is going to be a very different entity in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice than what we are used to. Probably.

According to Batman News, they have a source close to the movie who reports: “production is heading to LexCorp next week. In Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel sequel, LexCorp is described as a young, edgy company. Think of it as a .com or Google-type workplace. It’s a smart company with a stylish vibe, a youthful clash of rock and roll, preppy, and nerdy employees. Hipsters!

“The LexCorp scene will be shot on June 12th and 13th and it will take place in the fall. Actors will be wearing layers with long sleeves, lightweight jackets, and blazers.”

He also reports that Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor will be in the scene – could we have leaked pics of a bald Eisenberg in the next few days? Hmmmmmmmm

In other BvS news, Dark Horizons are reporting that “filming is also underway on Zack Snyder’s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” in Detroit. Man of Steel Fanpage reports that approximately 8,500 extras are being gathered together for a sequence to be filmed later this month.

“Said gathering ties back to a casting call in April looking for men and women that fit the mild of “military and business executive types”. Only those who have actual military background are apparently being called up, but they want a LOT of them.”

It looks like the movie is ripping along now and you know what? I for one am very excited about all this…

What are your thoughts on LexCorp being more like Facebook or Google? Is this the last straw or a bold move? Let us know your thoughts…

“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” also stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane returning from “Man of Steel,” Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and Holly Hunter in a role newly created for the film.

“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice”is written by Chris Terrio, from a screenplay by David S. Goyer.  Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder are producing, with Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Wesley Coller, David S. Goyer and Geoff Johns serving as executive producers.

Principal photography will take place on location at Michigan Motion Picture Studios and on location in and around Detroit, Michigan; Illinois; Africa; and the South Pacific.

Set to open worldwide on May 6, 2016, “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” is based on Superman characters created by Jerry Siegel & Joe Shuster, Batman characters created by Bob Kane, and Wonder Woman created by William Moulton Marston, appearing in comic books published by DC Entertainment.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
