Listen: Quentin Tarantino talks Kill Bill Vol 3 and who he’d cast as The Bride’s daughter

So, you may (or may not) know that director Quentin Tarantino has one movie left before he retires from film-making and there’s been a lot of rumours about what it might be.

But it seems there’s a good chance it’s a movie we’ve known he’s wanted to make for a long time.

In a new interview on The Joe Rogan Experience (below), Tarantino reveals that he wants his tenth movie to act as an epilogue to his impressive career and it seems that the much-discussed Kill Bill Vol 3 might be the one to get his creative juices flowing.

“I think it’s just revisiting the characters twenty years later and just imagining the Bride and her daughter, Bebe, having 20 years of peace, and then that peace is shattered,” Tarantino said.

He has long discussed (here) the idea that Just as Uma Thurman’s Bride was out for revenge in the first two movies, the third movie could see the daughter of Vivica A Fox’s Vernita Green seeking revenge for the Bride killing her mother in Kill Bill Vol 2.

“And now The Bride and Bebe are on the run and just the idea of being able to cast Uma [Thurman] and cast her daughter Maya [Hawke] in the thing would be fucking exciting.”

Stranger Things star Hawke is the daughter of Thurman and Ethan Hawke so she’s an obvious and inspired choice to continue the story.

“Elle Driver is still out there, Sophie Fatale got her arm cut off, but she’s still out there,” Tarantino says, hinting that we could see Daryl Hannah and Julie Dreyfus back as well.

“They all got Bill’s money. Actually, Gogo had a twin sister Shiaki and so her twin sister could show up.” Gogo was the terrifying killer played by Chiaki Kuriyama in Vol 1, so having her back could be an epic turn-up for the books.

Hawke and Tarantino have previously worked together on Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, so the duo have history together and it seems clear that Tarantino has put some thought into this.

Yeah… he’s bringing The Bride back, isn’t he?
