Ok, let’s be honest here, we all love Loki, right? Tom Hiddleston has delivered numerous great performances as the legendary character. In fact, it was because of his epic performance in Thor that he got brought into Avengers, and then got more scenes in Thor 2: The Dark World.
It was let slip earlier that Loki would be in a scene from Avengers: Age of Ultron, yet moviegoers have noticed he is not in it. Thankfully, Joss Whedon is here to clear things up:
“Tom is not in the movie… Idris misspoke… twice,” Whedon laughs. “We did shoot something and it didn’t play. The movie has so much, is so filled and we didn’t want it to feel overstuffed. I really wanted to have Loki in it but I understood the decision, ‘Now there are too many voices in the chorus.’ At some point the embarrassment of riches is actually embarrassing.”
Don’t fret though, Loki will play a BIG part in Thor: Rangarok. Especially since he’s kind of the king of Asgard now…
