Get ready for the new daily show

Looks like there’ll be no Evil Dead 2 afterall says Jane Levy

I liked Fede Alvarez’s Evil Dead reboot. A lot. In fairness, I expected to really dislike it… but it was fun, furious and gory in ways I hadn’t expected and I came away thinking I wanted a sequel. I still do, especially with the rumours that it would it carry over into the universe of the original Bruce Campbell movies.

But now it seems that I may have a long wait. A VERY long wait, indeed…

But now Bloody Disgusting are reporting that Jane Levy, star of the reboot (above) is saying that it’s probably NOT going to happen: “I don’t think they’re gonna make it. I mean, they’re always coming up with a new thing- now I hear they’re making a TV show. I was like, what?

“I honestly don’t know, but it doesn’t seem like there’s going to be an Evil Dead 2 anytime soon. At least, not with me in it.”

However, before all hope is lost, she added: “I think they just like exciting their fans and confusing them.”

So, Raimi is busy with Evil Dead 2, Army of Darkness 2 and the Evil Dead TV series… and we’re not sure if or when we’ll see all or any of them.

Groovy? Not really, sadly…
