MAD THEORY: Is The Joker hiding in Snyder’s Batman image?

May 13th, 2014 by Marc Comments

We are all really giddy at the reveal of Ban Affleck’s Batman suit and Batmobile on Zack Snyder’s Twitter… but is there more to it than meets the eye?

I posted the image on my personal Facebook page and almost right away a couple of my mates (Stevie Moult and FTN writer Andrew McCarroll) said they could see Joker’s face. And I thought they were mad. Until I looked closer.

The original image (top) shows Batman standing beside the Batmobile, right?

But, in the bottom left – where the rear wheel would be – is what can only be described as The Harlequin of Hate himself, The Joker’s grin. Now it’s clearly part of the car itself, but you know the old saying, “once you see it”…

Anyway, is it a coincidence, a clue or Snyder messing with us? Whatever it is, it’s fun to speculate, but as our own Ed said: “This is an older Batman, the Joker has to be out there somewhere”.

Check the images below and tell us are we simply going a bit mad?

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
