We’ve been wondering for a while who Mad Mikkelsen was playing in the upcoming Doctor Strange more and now it seems we know…

And, once again, the toys have revealed the information.

Heroic Hollywood  have had an early glimpse at the toys from the movie and the figure of Mad Mikkelsen reveals he’s playing… Kaecilius.

The figures in question are minimates and here’s the official description:

Marvel Minimates Series 70 Doctor Strange Movie 2-Pack Asst.

A Diamond Select Toys Release! The next chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is now the next entry in the long-running Marvel Minimates line! Series 70 of Marvel Minimates mini-figures travels to the world of the Doctor Strange movie, with four different two-packs: Dr. Strange with The Ancient One, Mordo with Kaecilius, the specialty-exclusive Stephen Strange with Christine Palmer and the specialty-exclusive Wong & Zealot! Each 2-inch Minimates mini-figure features 14 points of articulation and fully interchangeable parts. Each two-pack is packaged in a full-color window box.

In the Marvel Comics Universe, Kaecilius is one of the villains linked to Baron Mordo.

Rachel McAdams is also confirmed as Night Nurse, a love interest of Strange and, in the comics, she spends her nights fixing up wounded Superheros. Many believed that Rosario Dawson’s Claire Temple was set to be the MCU’s Night Nurse but it seems not… or at least not in the movies.

In related news, Marvel have released new synopsis for Doctor Strange and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2.

Here’s Strange’s:

Marvel’s Doctor Strange follows the story of the talented neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a tragic car accident, must put ego aside and learn the secrets of a hidden world of mysticism and alternate dimensions. Based in New York City’s Greenwich Village, Doctor Strange must act as an intermediary between the real world and what lies beyond, utilizing a vast array of metaphysical abilities and artifacts to protect the Marvel cinematic universe.

And here’s Guardians’

Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.
