Ever since we found out that the awesome Mad Mikkelsen was cast in A Star Wars Story: Rogue One, we’re sorry but we assumed he was a villain. Hey, the guys rocks as Hannibal, we just see him as a Grand Moff, ok?
Anyway, the actor has been chatting about the role he plays in the movie and, well, could we all be wrong? “It is a very important role, as much I can say [but] no, my character is actually not a bad guy, and then I can not say more. I can also say that the movie will be shot in Iceland and England. And the filming will last for three months.”
We’re not sure if we’re excited or disappointed by the news, to be honest, but all we know is that, good or bad, we cannot wait to see what his role in the movie is.
Rogue One goes into new territory, exploring the galactic struggle from a ground-war perspective while maintaining that essential Star Wars feel that fans have come to know. Gareth is such an innovative director and I’m so excited to be working with him and the extraordinary ensemble cast he’s selected for ‘Rogue One.’
Rogue One is set for release on December 16, 2016.
