OK, we’re the first to admit it; we’re so excited for The Force Awakens that it’s, frankly, verging on embarrassing.

Like rodents, we are picking at every crumb of info, tying things together, trying to make sense of rumors and leaks and guessing what we’re going to see, what will tie to what we’ve seen/read/played before.

And we know that we should just let it go for now – chill out and relax. But, we’re a news site so we have an excuse.

But YOU guys? Well, that’s whole different matter.

Talking to the LA Times, Hamill, promoting Kingsman: The Secret Service, had this to say about the level of anticipation surrounding the movie: “I wish people would just relax. We’re not trying to play games with people. We just want to maximize their experience at the movies where it should be seen and not have it leaked over the Internet. Believe me, it will be here before you know it. Forget about it, that’s my advice. Look forward to all the summer movies. I’m telling you, it’s just a movie. These people that build it up in their minds like it’s going to be the second coming of, I don’t know what — they’re bound to be disappointed.”

While we do take exception at the “Just a movie” bit, we reckon he’s right.

But, you know, it IS Star Wars….

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
