While we were reporting this as far back as February (here), it seems that Marvel are seriously seeking Angelina Jolie for the Captain Marvel directing gig.
After the announcement that there were two writers, Nicole Perlman and Meg LeFauve, in the frame yesterday (here), it looks like Marvel are keen to get strong females attached to bring Carol Danvers to life.
We’ll keep our eye on this but we reckon this is another ‘no smoke without fire’ type of rumour.

Captain Marvel is scheduled for UK release on 6th July 2018 and the US on 2nd November 2018.
