With Captain Marvel on Marvel’s movie slate in 2018, there’s a lot of speculation about who’ll star – yes, we want Katee Sackoff too – and who will direct.
Now, OK! Magazine is reporting that Marvel Studios executives really liked Angelina Jolie’s Unbroken and have offered her $20 million to direct the Carol Danvers movie – Captain Marvel.
“Having a female director is a priority for them,” the magazine claims a source has told them.
“She never thought she’d be in such huge demand as a director,” they go on, “and to be courted by Marvel […] is a huge pat on the back”.
So, we’ll just leave you to decide if this report is on the money or not, but whatever happens, Marvel will need to make their first female superhero standalone movie a cracker.
Captain Marvel is scheduled for release on July 6, 2018.
