Meet Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’s new Sith Trooper

July 12th, 2019 by Marc Comments

Well, it looks like we have a new character to be excited for in Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise Of Skywalker… a red Stormtrooper!

Em, yay.

But, look, he has a cool name… he’s a Sith Trooper and, in fairness, he does look pretty badass.

Now, my guess is he’s the new Imperial Guard or the new Praetorian Guard, so get ready for a cool appearance and whole lot of not doing anything… though I can see this guy standing beside a vulnerable Palpatine.

Anyway.

According to The Star Wars Show (below) hosts Andi Gutierrez and Anthony Carboni, he (she?) is “the next evolution of the Imperial First Order soldiers, and bares a more modern and menacing look worthy of its namesake.”

The means they can role out another Storm Trooper toy (remember how awesome we though the Shadow Trooper would be in Rogue One?) and hopefully this figure will role of the shelves like nothing else has from the last three movies.

And that’s all we really know about this guy for now but you can check out the Hot Toys and Black Series figures (told you!) below.

Thoughts on this character?

Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker hits theaters on December 20th!

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
