Micheal Keaton confirmed back as Bruce Wayne/Batman in The Flash! Hell, yes!

He’s back! Oh, yes! Micheal Keaton is back as Batman!

When the news broke (here) last year that the one, true Batman, Michael Keaton, was back for Andy Muschietti’s The Flash (check out the movie’s new logo below), it was probably the best news we got during this whole pandemic and, not going to lie, it was a ray of sunshine for myself and many others knowing that, when all this sh#t was over, we’d see Keaton back in the suit.

“I keep my eye more on the COVID situation in the UK than anything,” Keaton said. “That will determine everything… That’s my first thing about all projects. I look at it and go, is this thing going to kill me, literally? And you know, if it doesn’t, then we talk,” the star said.

But then, just a couple of weeks back, Keaton said that it was this very pandemic that was making him reconsider taking on the role again (here) and, not gonna lie (again), this made my heart sink.

And then, once we found out that the movie was filming in London at the moment, we were hoping and praying that we’d get news and lo… we got news. And it’s exactly the news we wanted.

Keaton’s talent agency, ICM Partners, have confirmed that the star IS back as Batman/Bruce Wayne and suddenly all is right with the world again.

This is amazing news – in case you hadn’t already guessed – and it’ll be exciting to see the multiverse explode in The Flash when Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen/The Flash explores worlds and universes we have seen before, similar to what they did last year in The CW’s Crisis on Infinite Earths event – only this time, anything goes.

“It’s going to be fun and exciting and there are a lot of DC characters in it,” producer Barbara Muschietti said.

“Flash is the superhero of this film because he is the bridge between all of these characters and timelines. And in a way, it restarts everything and doesn’t forget anything.”

Makes you wonder how many DC characters is ‘a lot’, doesn’t it?

Anyway, the movie also stars Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman as well as Sasha Calle as Supergirl, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Maribel Verdú as Nora Allen and Ron Livingston as Henry Allen.

The Flash is set to hit cinemas on November 4th, 2022.
