More troubling Ant-man news as two new script writers come on board

July 8th, 2014 by Marc Comments

Oh Ant-man, will anything ever go your way?

Yss, we’re still dealing (badly) with the departure of Edgar Wright from Ant-man, ok?

Anyway, it seems that, according to Latino Review, Gabriel Ferrari and Andrew Barrer have come aboard Marvel’s Ant-Man to rewrite Adam McKay’s script.

What does this mean? Well, basically they will be on hand during the production in case any problems in the script arise. According to the site, this is quite common in Hollywood and “whether Ferrari and Barrer get any screen credit is up to the Writer’s Guild arbitration committee.”

However, just in case we put your mind at ease, we should point out that, while the duo wrote the 2010 Black List script Die In A Gunfight, it’s their work on a Sabrina The Teenage Witch script for Sony that impressed the suits and got them on Ant-man. We’re not sure what we make of this.

Let us know your thoughts in all the usual ways…

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
