Hellboy reboot may have finally found Ben Daimio

September 13th, 2017 by Dave Bowling Comments

After last month’s little SNAFU over Ed Skrein leaving the role over allegations of Hollywood whitewashing, it seems that the Hellboy reboot may have finally got itself a Ben Daimio.

The Hollywood Reporter tells us that Daniel Dae Kim (Hawaii Five-0) has accepted the role of Asian-American agent Ben Daimio. Kim’s credits include Lost, ER, and voicework in The Legend of Korra.

Hellboy won’t be Kim’s first comic book role, since the actor appeared in Spider-Man 2. He is the latest addition to the cast, joining Stranger Things star David Harbour in the title role, Ian McShane, Milla Jovovich, and Penelope Mitchell. The film is currently slated to begin shooting later this month under director Neil Marshall.
