Ser Rid keeps dropping bombs about Alien Covenant, having kept most of the pre-production under wraps so tight even George Lucas would be jealous.
With Deadline having announced yesterday (21 June) that Noomi Rapace will be part of the cast after all, honestly, Fox has released another on-set photo. This one shows Ridley Scott directing Danny “oh hell we didn’t realise it was him” McBride on the bridge set of the movie’s new ship:
The set is clearly a lot more Alien than Prometheus, potentially indicating that the movie is set at some point in the 22nd Century instead of the late 21st, when 70s retro switching and bits of old Vulcan bomber are in fashion in starship design. Of course at this point that’s all speculation, but who knows what’s happening on set? Certainly the amount of conflicting information on this one would keep the NSA busy for a month trying to figure out what’s true. But of course we’ll let you know what we know once we know it.
I think I just confused myself with that…
Alien: Covenant is slated for release on 4 August 2017.
