Though many of the upcoming DC movies won’t be coming until a few years, that doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty of thought and planning going into them. This is a crucial time for WB/DC as having their movies planned, plotted, and ready to film is essential, especially as we draw closer to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

A personal favorite of mine in the new DC movie slate is Aquaman, which will star Jason Momoa. A new rumor has arisen that Noah Murro is possibly in contention to direct the film. Murro has worked with Zack Snyder on 300: Rise of an Empire, and so that could give him an edge if Snyder has some say on things. Just to be clear though, this is not confirmed, nor is he a forerunner for the position at this time.

A bit of possible casting news states that Karl Urban (of Dredd, Star Trek, and Lord of the Rings fame) could be joining the film as well. WB apparently wants him in the cast, but they’re waiting to see what happens with Star Trek 3 (in terms of filming) before going after him.

This is exciting either way, and I hope Urban joins this cast!
