So, it seems we have more casting rumours for Matt Reeves’ The Batman.
At the weekend I reported that ex-007 Pierce Brosnan may be in line for the role of Alfred Pennyworth and there’s been rumours for a while that Hobbs & Shaw’s breakout star Vanessa Kirby may be up ofr Catwoman/Selina Kyle and now we have more villainour rumours.
We’ve known for a while that the movie would have a roster of baddies including Penguin, Catwoman, Two-Face, Mad Hatter and others and it looks like I, Tonya and BlacKkKlansman star Paul Walter Hauser may be in line for the role of Oswald Copplepot/Penguin.
Staying with BlacKkKlansman, Denel Washington’s son, John David Washington, is apparently up for DA Harvey Dent/Two-Face… following, no doubt, in the shoes of Billy Dee Williams in Batman ‘89.
After that there’s rumour of Jamie Foxx as Riddler, which I think is doubtful… but at this stage, who knows?
One thing is for sure, with the movie set to begin filming early next year, there’ll be more concreate news of casting soon… and if any of these names are right, Reeves is going for big names for evenn bigger characters.
Thoughts? I wanna hear them…
