Could ex-Bond star Pierce Brosnan be up for the role of Alfred in The Batman?

August 17th, 2019 by Marc Comments

So, another rumour for you all… but one that makes sense and could be very, very awesome.

It seems that Ryan Unicomb, a somewhat mysterious person who apparently was the first to tie Robert Pattinson to the role of Batman, on Instagram implied that Pierce Brosnan, ex-James Bond and pretty cool dude, maybe tied to The Batman too: “Pierce has entered the chat party” .

In what role, well, rumour has it it’s as Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce Wayne’s long-suffering confidant.

Brosnan, in the Instagram feed ‘liked’ a comment linking him to the role of Alfred.

Batman On Film are reporting that in February they had heard Brosnan’s name linked to the role as displayed in this vague post:

After Michael Caine in Nolan’s trilogy and Jeremy Irons in the current DCEU, Brosnan would be a very solid choice, perfectly capturing Alfred’s history of being military and secret service and an all-round bad-ass.

I like and I believe there’s something to it.

Here’s hoping.

Thoughts?
